Jill Hotel was born from the shared vision of its founders, driven by a passion for hospitality, design, and human connection. With the ambition to create a hotel that is both vibrant and intimate, they envisioned Jill as a place where guests immediately feel welcome, whether they are visiting Brussels for business, culture, or leisure.
Inspired by the city’s energy and its artistic diversity, the founders chose to develop a concept combining contemporary comfort, creativity, and personality. Rather than following traditional hotel codes, they wanted Jill to be a lively, authentic place, deeply connected to its environment.
From the earliest collaborations with local artists to the development of the “sober life” concept, Jill has continually evolved through encounters, experiences and a desire to create something meaningful. More than a hotel, Jill reflects a way of welcoming people: warm, open-minded, creative and aware.
Our vision
Designed by Belgian interior architect Michel Penneman, known for his innovative and creative hospitality concepts, Jill was imagined as a sought-after address for both business and leisure travelers seeking authenticity in Brussels.
More than a hotel, Jill is deeply rooted in its neighborhood and in the local creative scene. Each space was designed in collaboration with local artists to reflect the vibrant soul of the neighborhood and create a lively, inspiring, and city-connected atmosphere.
Four female artists — 10 EME Arte, Lucile Vanlaecken, Atelier Louves and Stéfanie Fontaine — created the hotel’s iconic murals, giving each Jill space its own artistic identity.
Through permanent works, creative collaborations, and regularly renewed exhibitions, Jill constantly supports and showcases local artistic talents.
Jill was created with the desire to offer much more than a simple place to stay. Designed as an urban refuge in the heart of Brussels, Jill combines contemporary hospitality, artistic expression and conscious living in a warm, inspiring and welcoming environment.
From the very beginning, Jill’s vision was to create a hotel where one can truly slow down, reconnect, and experience the city differently. Every detail — from design and atmosphere to music, art and the food & beverage experience — has been thought out to create a sense of balance, creativity, and comfort.
Today, this vision naturally extends to Jill’s “sober life” philosophy. Instead of placing alcohol at the center of social experiences, Jill offers a more conscious and inclusive way to gather. Through carefully selected non-alcoholic or low-alcohol drinks, homemade creations, botanical flavors, and local collaborations, guests are invited to discover a new approach to hospitality — focused on connection, well-being, and authentic moments.
This philosophy is neither a restriction nor an ideology. It is about offering choice, quality, and meaningful experiences for everyone.

Guests can discover murals and permanent works created by the artists who contributed to Jill’s opening and who continue to shape the soul of the hotel today.
Parallel to these permanent installations, temporary exhibitions regularly occupy the lobby and communal spaces, creating new encounters between hospitality and artistic expression. These exhibitions change throughout the year and allow both travelers and residents to discover emerging talents, new perspectives, and creative collaborations directly within the hotel.
